MY REVIEW

I'm a big fan of Becca's Hush Hush series so when i saw her new book in the  bookstore i couldn't resist buying it! i was a bit wary when i first started this book because i didn't know if i would actually like the plot and turns out i did!

Britt, the protagonist, was really irritating at the beginning. She was vain, shallow and OBSESSED with her ex, Calvin. Throughout the book she was saying how much she loved/hated/loved/hated him. Sometimes she said she'd never forgive him for what he did and at other times she was like 'i forgive you! I want to wrap my arms around you and hug you!!!' I really can't say i liked her. But as the story progressed, when she was in actual danger and she had to figure out how to save herself and her best friend, i was like-huh you're kind of okay..She gets really smart and her survival instincts seemed to kick into gear, She stars planning and thinking about how to evade her two captors and she took a total turn from the brat i had her pegged as.

Mason, i wish we had a little more about him. I loved his character at the beginning; cold and detached, always brooding and mysterious. Britt was constantly trying to unveil his secrets when he started opening up and the author manages to make so intriguing that along with Britt, i was asking and wondering the same questions that flitted through my mind.

The setting and background was well described and made me shudder all the time when i tried to put myself in Britt's place. There was a part that was totally predictable-Mason's connection to the murders. It was pretty obvious so when Britt started accusing him of being a murderer, i already knew it wasn't him. As for the real murderer, i thought i knew who it was and when Britt figured it out i thought i was right. BUT THEN....Turns out the murderer is someone else entirely whom i'd never suspected at all! Becca did a great job with that part, it was totally unpredictable and awesome!!! I also loved the sweet ending that set everything into place except i would like to know what happens to Korbie.,..she's not mentioned after they get off the island and i think that was the only thing missing to give a complete closure to the book!

Overall, great fast-paced and action packed thrilling books with great twists! This book will keep you hooked til the end!!!
